It's finally spring! Jacob has anxiously been awaiting the "last frost" date to plant his carrot garden. I've given each of the kids gardening assignments that they can be responsible for. Jacob likes carrots so he decided to plant carrots. Rachel loves tomatoes so she's going to help me with the tomatoes. Our duplex that we moved into had a square foot garden already built in (thanks Jenn and Drostan!) so all we had to do was enrich the dirt and plant away!

Jacob's Carrots. We planted them in a circle since they are in a circle planter. Jacob has LOVED watching them all pop up.
Our garden. We put the grey mesh over the top because the squirrels kept digging up our seeds. So far we haven't had any seeds pilfered and many are starting to sprout.
These are our sugar snap peas. We planted them first and they are growing so quickly! We also planted cucumbers, green beans, spinach, lettuce, peppers and other things. I love summer!

Looks deliciously lovely! I love that Jacob and Rachel each had a stewardship! How fun and what a great learning tool!
We don't have squirrels but we do have a bunny who lives under our deck. You can guess what that means!
