We had another winter storm this week. More freezing rain with 4 or 5 inches of snow on top. It's almost becoming mundane! Slick roads, slow drivers (I mean SLOW) and lots of gorgeous icicles...which Rachel calls bicycles.
Every tree, branch and needle (and every other surface) had a half inch of ice and plenty of icicles hanging from it. The trees all looked glitteringly beautiful in the sunlight!
Aside from not being able to venture to the grocery store for a couple of days (It took them that long to plow some of the main streets) the storm provided us with a day of daddy. After taking major pains to get to school on time the morning after the rain, he learned that the clinic was closed. This is a pretty rare event and poor michael didn't even get to sleep in! So he studied and played in the snow with us instead. The kids were ecstatic!

Oh yeah, I remember those days. Now we live in an area where 2 inches of snow shuts everything down. Hope you guys are staying warm and safe.
By the way, I made an outfit for Glade's blessing that looked a lot like that one, only shorts. Probably the same pattern. Hope the next 6 weeks (or 7) go by quickly.
james enjoyed his days off too. the kids took full advantage and had him outside playing a lot
