We had a fabulous week! The first part of it was spent in Michigan. Some great friends of ours recently moved to Charlevoix (locally pronounced Shar'-luh-voy) which is on the northern tip of Michigan. And, for lack of time, these pictures are unedited. Now you can see what a lousy photographer I REALLY am!
We happened to visit during the few days of cold, rainy weather. We braved the cold weather and saw much of the town. The lake was absolutely gorgeous.

Jacob was REALLY excited about the beach. We felt bad that it wasn't a good day to sit and play in it.
Jacob got to see the drawbridge raise for the ferry to pass through. He came home excited that he saw TWO big boats and that the street went up but the light stayed red.
We also took a walk down the main street (which has a cool toy store and fudge shop) and visited the public library, which was gorgeous and so much fun!
One of the best parts though was the fondue. We've never really had fondue before but are now converted. Mike and Carol did a wonderful job with it! Thanks guys!
