These last few weeks have seen a few adventures. One of them was Rachel's birthday. She's now 1 year old! Rachel wasn't feeling well (that was our other adventure this week) so we didn't do very much. We ended up taking the kids to Pet Land for an hour so they could look at the animals and pet the dogs and cats. Jacob immediately loved it. He said hi to so many birds and doggies. Rachel liked watching them, but it wasn't until she felt some fur that she started to enjoy it. She laughed and laughed and laughed. It was music to our ears!
Later that evening we had spaghetti for dinner (one of Rachel's favorites) and then dug into the birthday cake. I tried my hand at an ice cream cake which worked out fairly well. Rachel was more interested with the carousel top than the cake. Here's a picture story line:
Once she got her fist around that ice cream, I couldn't keep shoveling it onto her tray fast enough! She was pretty happy.
