Where have all the days gone?

Goodness! Where has all the time gone!? It's been too long since my last post. Here's a few more things that we've been up to lately:

Emma had her name day last this last month. A name day is when everyone with the same name celebrates on the same day. There are lots of different traditions, depending on the culture. We decided to do activities that the person likes. And try to make it a surprise. We took Emma to the pet store where she got to pet (or manhandle) soft, little animals. All the kids loved it. We pet kittens, dogs, birds, mice, rabbits, even a tortoise. We also went to the park that morning for Jacob's preschool picnic. It was rainy and cold but that didn't dampen the kids' spirits! We all got a little wet and had a marvelous time. Happy Name Day Emma!

Jacob and Rachel playing on the preschool toys after preschool. Jacob had a great time at Covenant preschool and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Upper Arlington area. One of the teachers also told me how wonderful the families of our faith are. Way to be good examples!

Princess Emma. One day she insisted that she wear the crown and everytime it came off, she'd bring it back and ask (more like grunt) to have it put back on. The crown looks like it was made to be there!

Playing at the Bunny Fountains. We love this fountain park. It is so much fun, especially with buckets. The only downside is that it is concrete and Jacob came home with lots of bad scrapes from being knocked down onto the cement. After that we had a good talk about learning from painful experiences.

Emma is so silly. She loves babies. That includes dolls and carseats. Since we can't use the carseat anymore (it's safety is outdated and says it shouldn't be used past a certain year. go figure.), I pulled it out so the kids could play with it for a few days before we got rid of it. Emma sat in it for a good chunk of that time! Silly girl.

Let's hope time slows down a little in June! (not likely!)
