We've been pretty busy the last month, that's probably why it's taken me so long to post again! Michael's been in between quarters and had a day off a couple of weeks ago. So we went to the zoo.
We got to see the new baby Elephant, Becco play on the elephant statue.
We also enjoyed the tigers who were on the prowl. Since the tiger statue was unoccupied as well, we took a turn on that too.
We had a ward campout coming up so we got a couple of kids sleeping bags. I was tired of toting tons of blankets around. Sleeping bags are much more concise.
Jacob's first day of preschool. He goes to the Covenant Presbyterian church preschool and LOVES it! We were a little worried about cutting the apron strings, but he's had no problems whatsoever.
The ward campout was held at Alum Creek State park. It was very pretty and the weather was wonderful. Dinner was a luau with some polynesian dancing provided afterward. I didn't stay the night because we didn't want to subject the rest of the ward to Emma crying at night but Michael stayed with Jacob and Rachel. When I joined them for breakfast in the morning they all looked a little cold, but happy.
Jacob said his favorite part about camping was roasting marshmallows. Rachel's was sleeping in a tent. Mine was spending time outside while the kids ran around entertaining themselves. Except Emma, of course.
It was a fun weekend!
