Michael turned the big 30 yesterday. He didn't seem fazed by it at all. He had a lot of work to do for school so we let him write a paper in the morning while we made cupcakes. He finished his paper early and got to go to the Arnold Fitness Expo and watch some really GREAT ping pong players. He came home with pizza and lots of smiles.
He opened presents which included Daddy dates with the kids, a new game from me and some clothes from his mom. Jacob's present was a little tough to open since it was completely covered with tape. And I mean COMPLETELY. (I swear mom, I didn't help him with it at all! There must be some sort of "tape gene".)
We then took a trip to Graeter's. No ice cream is as good as Graeter's. Michael was in heaven. Despite my encouragement, Michael didn't get the most grandiose thing he could think of. He settled on a scoop of toffee and chocolate chip. Jacob was thrilled with the BLUE cotton candy and for some reason Rachel didn't want to share my strawberry. She just wanted to climb around in her chair.
