Michael is now 29 years old. One step away from 30. Can we really be almost 30?
We celebrated by making a treasure hunt for him. I wrote out some cheesy poems leading him to different places in the house. When he got home from school Jacob took him on the grand tour. All Jacob could think about was the last place we hid Michael's presents and Jacob kept wanting to go straight there! That's because Jacob was SO EXCITED about the present he made.
It was a birthday hat made out of foamie paper with a train going all around it. The top is decorated in all the pieces of paper that Jacob cut into shreds. He really likes his scissors.
Look at how excited this kid is! You couldn't help but love such a thoughtful (but ugly!) gift!
Jacob had to try it on too, of course.
I gave Michael the game of Stratego. Michael loved that game growing up and since it's 2 players, we can play together. And yes, he KILLED me when we played. Yet another reminder that I need to keep my Gibson Competitiveness gene in check!
We had pizza for dinner (that would be Michael's 'Simpson pizza gene') and an ice cream cake for dessert.
