We've been busy this last month. There've been lots of Christmas plans in the works and one of them was making cookies. Jacob really enjoyed decorating cookies.
He'd slab some frosting on one and then ask to eat it. When we told him that we were giving them away and that he could have a broken one, then he would "accidentally" break some...and then eat them as fast as he could!
One of the activities that fill our days is setting up Jacob's trains and building a tunnel over the tracks. The outer train is his Christmas train (designed to go around the tree) and we've got putting the tunnel together down t'o a science. On top of the tunnel goes the pointed red blocks which Jacob calls "angel Moroni's".
One evening I was making dinner and Rachel was playing on the floor. I watched as she went over to an empty cereal box that was destined for the trash can. She took the bag out and discovered that there were cereal crumbs in it. She sat there for 5 minutes grabbing handfuls of crumbs and eating them. When she was finished there was a crummy halo around her on my kitchen floor!
We've had some snow recently! One storm gave us some really big flakes. Daddy and Jacob decided to try to catch some. I think more landed in their hair than on their hands.

i thought of making sugar cookies but by the time i got done making carmel-chocolate pretzels for james' work, i was all maxed out. i love rachel eating the cereal crumbs out of the bag, it's something my kids would do too
